PROGRAMS WE OFFER
New sessions start the week of January 17th. Please call Aimee at 647-1384
to confirm that you are continuing, or would like to book a lesson
Please check out our new prices for 2013!!! If you do not come to
your lesson, or do not give us 24 hours notice (not applicable if you are actually sick) we will be charging for this time. Your
spot is reserved for you!!! If you are in hockey, dance, or skating and do not go, you would not expect a refund
or to have that lesson tacked on the end... so, we will no longer be doing that either. Thank you for your understanding
in this matter.
PLEASE NOTE: 13% HST will now be added to all lesson and boarding prices.
We require payment at the beginning of the package or lesson. We will no longer
be accepting riders without having their paperwork on file, together with their payment.
HELMETS: In the past we have provided helmets free of charge for all of our riders requiring
them. We will provide helmets for the first package of lessons, but after that the student will be required to purchase
their own. They are very affordable.
New intermediate or advanced riders to our Center must book a minimum of two private lessons @ $25.00 ea. in order that
we can assess your riding ability and also to give us the time to introduce you to the horses and go through all the safety
procedures, teach you proper grooming techniques and to ensure that you are comfortable with tacking up the horse.
PAY AS YOU GO - This program is designed for those who do not want to commit
to a regular lesson package. One hour of riding time. You must book in advance and pay for the lesson on the day that it is
given. Private $45.00, Semi-Private $40.00, Group $35.00
LESSON PACKAGES - This is our "discount" package. You get FOUR
LESSONS/MO. This package must be booked for and paid for in advance at the beginning of the session in order to
receive the discount. Private $145.00, Semi-Private $115.00, Group (if available) $105.00.
*NEW* FAMILY TIME - For beginner
riders ages 4 to 7. You, the parent will attend your child's lesson and assist with the grooming, tacking up and then
leading your child and their pony. We have found that a lot of our parents don't know how to assist their child when
it comes time to doing our schooling shows, local horse shows or the fall fair... so, this is your chance to spend quality
time with your child and to learn all there is to know. Our coach or instructor will be your guide! Package of
4 lessons $80.00 (minimum of two in your group, maximum of 4).
TOTS WHO TROT - This program is for the very beginner young rider. 45 minutes
long, which includes instructions on grooming and tacking up your pony and a one-on-one lesson with our instructor or assistant.
Package of 4 lessons $130.00 or $35.00 per lesson.
DAY CAMPS - check out the "2013 Equestrian Camps" page
HORSE RENTAL - Some of our school horses are available for rental to approved
students on an hourly or daily basis for practice rides and shows, subject to availability. $30.00 per hour -
$50.00 per full day (ie going to a show). There will be no exceptions this year. If you are planning on taking
one of our horses into a horse show, please budget accordingly. Due to the high cost of fuel we will be charging everyone
$15.00 per trip into the local horse shows. Please remember to add the coaching fee of $25.00... compared to other farms
this is well below the average price being charged - so it is still a deal!
BOARDING - Inside board at a cost of $300.00 per month. This includes
bedding and hay, plus turnout and use of the arena. Any extra feed must be purchased by you, but we will feed it to
your horse. Outside board rates will be $200.00 per month. A holding fee of $5.00 in case you can't come
to the farm when the vet or farrier has an appointment. Postdated cheques for a term of six months are required, with
any additional costs being billed to you at the end of the month. If you decide to move your horse, all uncashed cheques
will be returned to you. We require one month's notice when you move your horse.
PART BOARDING - there are a few horses at Dreamcatcher that we do not use in
the lesson programs or are used on a limited basis. They are available on a part board arrangement. We pay their farrier,
vet and regular upkeep expenses, plus we provide the saddle, bridle, pad and grooming kit! There are a few different
packages available. A six month committment is required with postdated cheques for the six months to be handed
in before the part-board starts. 4 lessons per month plus 4 practise rides per month is $180.00, 4 lessons per
month plus 8 practise rides per month is $220.00, 8 lessons per month plus 8 practise rides per month is $320.00. Let's
compare costs of owning your own horse ... buying the horse (not possible to put a price on this one), pasture
board $200.00/mo., lessons (4 per month) $110.00/mo., farrier $25.00/mo., needles & worming $125.00/yr (if nothing
else goes wrong), tack ($500.00 - $5,000.00).... and the list goes on. Part-boarding is an affordable alternative,
and when you outgrow one horse, we move you on to another! Part-boarding is for the horse that you part-board.
If you use another horse/pony for another activity, then you will pay the regular rental/trailering/coaching fees.
Part
Boarders horse rental and trailering to local shows is included. Coaching fees are not included and are payable to Aimee.
~*~BIRTHDAY PARTIES~*~
$15.00 per person. You provide the food (BBQ available for those who wish to cook something)
and the rest of the party fixings... we provide the ponies and helpers to make your party a safe and happy experience for
even the most inexperienced rider (minimum age is 4). Plan on an hour for the riding, plus however long you will require
for the rest of the shind-dig!!!
Please contact us if we can help
you in any way.
